Description

Flag of the "Jund Ansar Allah" ("Partisans of God") is a Sunni-Muslim, Salafi-jihad group in Gaza that pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda; flag shown in Tahrir square, Cairo, Egypt, on June 15, 2012. It first came to prominence in June 2009. The group has criticized Hamas for not imposing Sharia law and it is thought that its members previously fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
